Tuesday

Another day gone...

and another dollar made. Still nothing of relevance going on here. I did call my lawyer yesterday for the information on my credit counseling that I am supposed to do. Once I get that completed then all of my paperwork will be filed, and I will move on to the next step. Although I'm dreading having my paycheck garnished, I'm eager to get it going so I can be that much closer to being done with all of my debt problems. I'm getting my Christmas shopping done as much as I can possible do now before it all goes into effect.

Wednesday is another therapy appointment for me. This visit will pertain to how I'm doing since I have cut back on my prescription. There are some days where I feel anxious, but I'm doing somewhat better on being so drowsy. I'm still dozing off in the car on the way in to work but not everyday as before. So with that note I do believe that I will end my playtime in the next few minutes and head off to bed.

Monday

Well, this weekend...

was the most relaxing that I've had in a long time. The wardens at work were "gracious" enough to free us for the whole weekend (Saturday included) which was a total shock. As of leaving work on the last night, our union contract was voted in favor for and has already went into effect. We get a .20 cent increase this month and then .25 cent increase in November of 2007 and then another .25 cent increase in 2008. That's pretty much it except for a one year freeze on insurance premiums, but whose to say that they won't double the increase the following year.

It was a cold, cold rain on the way home that night. At times it was raining so hard that Wyrm couldn't hardly see the road. We finally drove out of it when we got close to home. There was enough of a bite in the air to chill me all the way through just from getting out of the car and hurrying to the front door. It was soon remedied by getting under the covers. I went to sleep somewhere around 3:00 AM and did not get up till around 2:30 PM. I was in much need of sleep. I felt very rested when I woke. Saturday was pretty much spent at home just loafing and relishing in the fact that we were off from work on a Saturday. That night however Wyrm was really annoying. He decided at the last that he wanted to watch movies. That's fine and dandy except for my son and I were already using the DVD machine watching our own movie. We got booted out so we headed off into another room to watch tv. Wyrm stayed up till after 6:00 AM this morning and oh was it ever annoying. I just couldn't get to sleep.

Sunday was spent doing the weekly grocery shopping and nothing much else. All in all, it was a great weekend.

Thursday

I thought...

that when I went to my space today that things looked a little bit different. I see that the Spaces Live team has updated again and added some new things to play with. I maybe doing a little tweaking this weekend.

Well, I went and voted Tuesday. It was the first time that I have ever voted. As Wyrm said, " I did my patriotic duty". I also voted on our union contract the same day. The contract was voted down by 7 votes. What I'm hearing now is that we have another meeting on Friday to vote on the exact same contract (no changes made). The union will be putting it to us that if we vote it down a second time then we will go on strike. Now alot of people are changing their tune. They're not wanting to go without their paychecks.

Nothing else new going on here.

Sorry that I...

haven't been posting anything lately. There just isn't really anything of significance going on right now except for our union contract will be voted on today. When I went into work yesterday the bargaining committee members were there passing out copies of the highlights of the proposals. A huge majority of the people on my shift are really disappointed in it. I doubt that the new proposals will be voted in. Have to wait and see.

Also today Wyrm and I will be voting for the elections before we head into work. I decided on the ride home that I will participate this year. This will be the first time that I have ever voted in the elections.

I guess you could explain my absence with the fact that I've pretty much been coming home from work and watching CSI: Miami Season 3. I'm almost done with it and will be starting Season 4 in the next few days.

Hope your day is a good one and don't forget to vote today.

Nothing New...

to report. Just the same ol' same ol' thing going on. Yep, when I went in to work today, sure enough, they had it posted that we will be working Saturday. Oh well, if they want to be that ridiculous and pay me overtime then I will eat it up.

I'm still in the process of filing bankruptcy. Just right now I'm kind of having an irritating time trying to round up everything that the lawyer needs to fill out my paper work. I managed to find some of the things they were wanting but am still looking for more papers. And I forgot to ask about the credit counseling site that I'm supposed to go to and complete before my papers can be filed. I'll eventually get everything together.

Yesterday was Wyrm's last day of his vacation. I'm sure going to miss leaving at 11:30 PM. I need to remember to put my book that I'm currently reading in my bag to take with me.

The nights have taken on a chill. I absolutely did not want to get up yesterday. I love this kind of weather where I can snuggle down under the covers and behind Wyrm's back. He just radiates heat and makes for some warm snuggling.

Sigh. I guess I shall call it a night and head off to bed, but not before watching some more CSI: Miami. :)

Wednesday

It's Humpday

That day that sits right in the middle of the week letting most people know that it will soon be the end of their work week, but more than likely not me. Humpday usually means to me, "When are they going to post that stupid notice that we're working this weekend?!" Work is bothersome for me, but it's a paycheck. Here's the kicker though. Right now our team members who are representing us are in negotiations with our employers for our next 3-year union contract. Word that is grinding out of the rumor mill is that our employer wants to cut our shift premium and just give a flat .50 cent raise. In other words, everyone on 2nd shift would be taking a .50 cent paycut. I know that it doesn't sound like much, but when $50 per week is cut out of my hubby's paycheck for premium health insurance that requires an $800 yearly deductible before it will even pay 80 percent plus a $25 co-pay for each visit yeah to me it's quite alot. I don't have Saturdays off anymore, any time there is a holiday coming up I have to work till the wee hours (think anywhere from 4 to 6 AM) of the morning the night before (and then sleep most of the holiday away), rules and guidelines for our product gets changed on a whim and then our product goes on hold causing more overtime because we then have to rework it, no I don't really think that it is fair to take that shift premium away. Especially when I have been there 6 years and only get 2 paid weeks vacation and holidays while my hubby who has been there 10 years only gets 3 paid weeks vacation and holidays. In all honesty, I feel that my hubby deserves a little more with the years of service that he has put in. Our job is strenuous on our bodies. We stand on concrete 8+ hours and our work contains alot of repetitive movement causing joint and tendon wear and pain. That's why I complain about my hands hurting sometimes. There is no word yet on when we can vote on the proposal.

My lovely therapy session today consisted of me mostly informing my therapist that I have been sluggish for quite sometime now and am wondering if it could be my meds. Let's see, I'm sleeping for about 8-9 hours each night and when the alarm goes off I'm hitting the snooze button cause I just simply can't get awake enough and then on my way in to work I'm dozing off in the car. The thing is my hubby won't let me sleep. He says I'm sleeping too much as it is. Well that may be true and all but it doesn't change the fact that I'm sleepy and still need to doze off. About middle ways of my shift I get tired enough that somedays I would just love to lay down in the floor and take a nap, but can't. Yes, I am taking my meds during the day when the doctor said that I needed to be taking them before bed. The thing is that when I was doing that after awhile I started having weird dreams regularly that would jerk me awake and my legs would jump. That got to be really annoying and I wasn't getting any rest at night at all. Now I'm able to sleep at night much better it's just that I need alot of it. I mean here while back when I was on vacation I was sleeping about 12 hours each day. I would wake totally refreshed, but that is alot of hours just to sleep. So for the next couple of weeks it has been suggested that I drop back on my milligrams and see how well I fare on that. If I don't do so well, then the next option will probably be to change my medication. I'll know more in a couple of weeks.

I purchased CSI Miami: Season 4 for mom or I guess you could say that I bought it for me since I am closing this and heading off to my bedroom to watch it.

My Mom Is A Craft Nut

Halloween

IMG_0996Mom loves decorating for holidays and Halloween is one of her favorites. A good majority of her decorations are handmade. Her hanging ghosts are IMG_0991just a styrofoam ball with a bit of material draped over it and tied. At one time she was really into the hat decorating thing and opted to make a Halloween themed hat. Her ghost family is nothing but styrofoam balls for the heads and 2 liter and 12 oz coke bottles for the bodies and then covered in material. Those are a hit every year. Lots of people ask about them. Her witch is just a simple doll made from a pattern.

Do You Do the Change?

It's that time of the year for me where I get to "fall back" on the time. And, oh boy, do I love it. For me it just seems that I gain so much more time in the day instead of having it whiz by me. Yesterday I managed to sleep till noon and take a 2 hour nap around 3:00 PM and it still felt like I had time left. Right now it's just 1:22 AM and am planning on getting me a snack and heading off to bed here in a little bit. With the time change, I also decided to change things around here with a new look again. I also managed to finally get caught up with everyone's blogs.

A Beautiful Day

As I'm sitting here typing this, I can look out my front door and see the beautiful colors of the trees and sky. The sky is a wondrous blue and here lately this week the temps have been comfortable. We had rain earlier in the week, but now it's just gorgeous sunshine.

I haven't been writing much this week. In all honesty, I just haven't been in the mood. Don't really know why. Just been sluggish this week. I have been coming home and doing a little of this and that on my computer installing updates (yet again) and such. I'm still not done installing all of my programs just yet. I have recieved my new power box that I ordered the other day. I may try installing it later or maybe next weekend.

This past week has been kind of trying for my grandma. Her sister (my great aunt) passed away. This is the same grandma who just last year on Thanksgiving weekend lost her youngest daughter (my aunt). Bless her heart. She's handling this a little better though. It has been expected for some time now for Aunt Dee to pass on. She's been in a nursing home and her health has been slowly deteriorating. This wasn't a shock to grandma, but it has gotten her a little down and now her shingles are acting up. Grandma just keeps hanging in there. Gotta love her.

CR received his Guild Wars Nightfall game yesterday and has been playing it. His reaction to the game, "Sweeet." He's enjoying it.

Wyrm is on vacation now. He had three days left out of three weeks and decided to take off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. What will he be doing while off from work? You guessed it, playing World of Warcraft.

I have a therapy session on Tuesday and it may be my last. Honestly I don't feel like I'm making any more progress since the revelation that a part of me is still stuck in my past. I don't know how to overcome it, but it's something that I can accept and totally understand. I really am at a standstill on what to do now from here on. There are obstacles that I just simply cannot overcome at this point no matter how hard I try or what kind of medication I'm on. I'm able to walk out of my house and deal with work and people somewhat and I feel that is an accomplishment.

As for what I am doing right now, I'm planning on closing this, dine on Hamburger Helper and watch The Scariest Places on Earth marathon on ABC Family. I like watching scary and haunting shows of this nature. Enjoy your day.
